Rides

Our Ride Ethos - We're all about safety, fun, improving fitness and comradeship. Group riding is about learning/experiencing riding with other cyclists around you.

If you are looking for ultra competitive riding and racing, there are probably other groups that would better suit your needs, but please get in touch to discuss what you're after. During the last third of the ride, some riders may wish to increase tempo, but no-one will be left to ride home alone (unless they are winning!!).

SUNDAY RIDES

PEDDLERS' ROAD RIDE - MATAMATA
START TIME 9:00AM
Tolkien's Toil
Winter is coming. No, wait, wrong pop culture reference. Not saying there hasn't been any brother/sister love in the hills behind Matamata, just that I was supposed to be doing Lord of the Rings, not Game of Thrones. Sorry about that, got mixed up. They both have dwarves and dragons, so it's easily done. They could do a cross-over show actually! Gandalf could join the White Walkers and Frodo could get some dragon action off whats-her-name. Anyway, Return to Torturoa where Mt Doom awaits and many a ring has been burnt. Meander home past Hobbiton, where the tourists did frolic before the Covid dragon laid waste unto Middle Earth. Personally, I will be utilising my One Ring and its power of invisibility, so you won't see me Sunday
